Hello Bear Family!

My name is Mandee J. Reed.  (With a name like “REED” how could I be anything other than an English Teacher?!)  This is my sixth year as an Independent Study Teacher and, this year, I’m teaching Cohort classes with my colleague, Ms. Nelson.

The first thing you should know about me is that I take my position here at YCCPCS very seriously while simultaneously bringing fun, joy, gratitude, and empathy to every aspect of my job.   I see myself not only as an educator but as a  guide, mentor, life coach, and source of support for every single student at YCCPCS and their family. 

I operate on our school motto: GROWL - which is to Grow Respect Own Work and Love.  I see this as a way of life inside and outside of YCCPCS and model it daily. I put my heart and soul into this school and am always available to students and parents if and when they need me.

Some of my interests include writing screenplays, sewing quilts and pillowcases, and reading books about how to be a better person and a better teacher.
