    What is the Youth Recreation Program?

    Yuba County Office of Education created a partnership with the City of Marysville to implement a first-ever Youth Recreation Program which supports pro-social activities in the community. Youth in Marysville have a great need for pro-social activities that create healthy lifestyles and opportunities for youth to become socio-economically successful. The Youth Recreation Program will allow youth to be involved on a healthy community program that bulds support, teamwork, and a healthy setting for recreational activities. Our activities aim to meet one of the following categories: physical activities, community events, and educational camps.

    Sport Camp

    Our sports camp is a 6 week program where youth ages 6-18 can learn play various sports and various skills:

    -Team Buildings 

    -Sports Safety 

    -Becoming Achievement Oriented

    -Accountability 

    -Setting Short- and Long-Term Goals

    Youth Fishing Program

    The Fishing program is a 6 week program where the youth learn

    -String fishing poles

    -Bait their hooks

    -Learning safety habits

    -Catching fish
