Mission Statement
Yuba County Adult Education is committed to serving the Yuba County community and surrounding areas, by providing adult populations with comprehensive, learner outcome designed courses, including, High School Diploma, GED Prep and Career Technical Education programs that lead to industry recognized certifications and state licensure.
Schoolwide Learner Outcomes
Yuba County Adult Education Students will be:
Trained to become problem solvers and critical thinkers.
Students with the awareness that true understanding, knowledge, and mastery of a subject is not achieved by simply the ability to repeat information, but by one’s ability to apply information to diagnose and create solutions that will effectively solve problems.
Equipped with the knowledge to effectively use technology to advance their educational and career goals.
Able to gather and apply information from a variety of sources in the performance of completing assigned work.
Trained to, and obtain industry certification, or be prepared to test for appropriate state license.
Given quality instruction and individual support to facilitate passing the GED or achieving High School Diploma or applicable industry certifications.
Prepared to meet emerging workforce needs, identified through labor market data.
