Child Development Behavioral Consultation Program
The Child Development Behavioral Consultation Program (CDBC) offers year-round services to support the healthy social emotional development of young children throughout Yuba County. The program is designed to address the unique needs of typically developing children ages 0-5 who display behaviors that adults find challenging. The CDBC also provides training and education on behavioral and developmental topics for professionals, parents, and caregivers, in both English and Spanish.
How Do I Access Services?
If you are a Parent or Guardian of a Child Aged 0-5
Simply call or email us directly to share your concerns. We’ll help connect you with the services that best fit your family’s needs.
If you are a Professional or Family Member
Contact us for a phone consultation at 530-749-4991. We’ll help you identify services that may best meet the child’s needs. We’ll also provide information you can share with the parent or guardian, as their consent is required for all CDBC services.
What Services Do We Offer?
Our program provides a range of services to support your child’s development:
- Phone Consultations – Get timely, tips and ideas to address behavioral concerns
- In-Person Observations – Live observations in preschool or early care settings
- In-Home Intervention –Fun, play-based activities to help your child at home.
- Behavioral Assessments – An opportunity for you to complete age-based assessments that help us understand your child’s unique needs
- Virtual Home Observation – Observing your child in their most comfortable setting to find ways to support skill-building
- Workshops-Face to face, and virtual, behavioral education workshops in Yuba County for parents, caregivers, and professionals. Certificates of participation are available for many workshops
