Crendentialing Services
Credential Services are available for a wide range of needs. Applicants beginning a career in education can find guidelines and information regarding processing. To serve in an assignment requiring a California Credential or Permit in any school district in Yuba County it is necessary to have a valid credential on file with this office.
Renewals can be completed up to 1 year prior to the expiration date; however, they must be completed prior to the expiration date!

Multiple Subject: The credential required to teach in a self-contained classroom. Commonly found in the elementary and middle schools.
Single Subject: The credential required to teach a specific subject, in a departmentalized class. Commonly found in middle school and high school.
Education Specialist: The credential required to provide instructional service for Special Education; specific disability authorization required.
In addition, program specific credentials are required for the following areas:
A fully prepared teacher moving from another state may obtain California Certification based on their out-of-state preparation (additional CA requirements may still be required):
CA Multiple Subject Credential (based on out of state preparation).
CA Single Subject Credential (based on out of state preparation).
CA Education Specialist Credential (based on out of state preparation).
CA Multiple Subject Credential (based on out of state preparation).
CA Single Subject Credential (based on out of state preparation).
CA Education Specialist Credential (based on out of state preparation).
