AB 2534 & SB 848 Misconduct Verification
Overview of AB 2534 & SB 848
Assembly Bill (AB) 2534 & Senate Bill (SB) 848 are California laws designed to enhance transparency and accountability in employment practices and educator evaluations within public education. This legislation reinforces compliance with state-mandated procedures, particularly in the areas of hiring, personnel documentation, and performance evaluations.
AB 2534 applies to school administrators, teachers, and other certificated staff, SB 848 applies to classified staff. These laws require local educational agencies to implement specific protocols for documentation, reporting, and an adherence to established employment regulations.
At Yuba County Office of Education, we are committed to fully implementing the provisions of AB 2534 & SB 848 and aligning our policies and practices with the law’s requirements.
