Mental health is essential for development and success. Prioritizing social and emotional needs, trauma informed classrooms, and healthy lifestyles attributes to a resilient and thriving school climate. Positive relationships between peers and adults have shown to be a successful mitigator of trauma. YCOE's Student Wellness and Mental Health is a part of the Multi-Tiered System of Support in schools. This program partners with the schools and community to create a foundation of wellness. Training, education, resources, and collaborations are offered to students, families, teachers, and staff to help students maintain optimal mental wellness to learn and thrive.

Through partnership with Sutter Yuba Behavior Health, our goals are:

  • To provide general information about mental health
  • How to access mental health services
  • To reduce stigma around mental health.
