• Advisory Committee Governance Structure

    “Yuba County Office of Education Career Preparatory Charter School - Charter Document” Dated October 11, 2017: The Charter will be governed by a County Superintendent of Schools’ Advisory Committee consisting of nine (9) members. These members will consist of four (4) parents of charter school students, or students currently enrolled, elected by the charter school members; two (2) members of the charter school faculty who instruct K-12 students elected by the charter school faculty, two (2) representatives from business and industry selected by the Chamber of Commerce Education Committee and one (1) advisory committee chair selected by the YCOE Superintendent.The County Superintendent of School’s Advisory Committee will be responsible for charter accountability and revision, selection of staff, budget development, and the school calendar. The County Superintendent of Schools’ Advisory Committee and all interested students and parents of students in the Charter will meet at least quarterly to ensure direct parental involvement. Recommendations of the committee will be by majority vote and subject to the YCOE Superintendent’s approval.
